The Mac Plus is the first computer I ever used.

The PET is the only one that does anything useful. The other two lack software (floppy disks for the Apple IIe, hard disk for the Mac Plus). I could probably find it if I looked hard enough.

The Macintosh Plus looks a lot like the old Mac in my closet. Some friends gave it to us in hopes we could fix it, but we couldn’t even get a screwdriver that would reach the screws. Dunno if it’s the same thing. Just a Mac is all I remember.

Apple used that design for quite a few Macs. I know the Mac Classic (I’ve got one of those somewhere, but without a mouse or keyboard) and the original Mac look the same as the Mac Plus. Probably a few other models do, too.

Wikipedia says the design is called Compact Macintosh.

Never was much for the Apple ][ line, but I was in love with original PET 2001. It was so different from all the other micros at the time. I’d still love to have one, but all I can find are the 4032s and later.

I remember first seeing the Mac in a store in downtown Detroit. Whenever I could I’d stop in and fiddle around with it for awhile. As this was a shop catering to business people, I’m surprised I never got booted out for loitering.

I’m making an educational electronics recycling video to promote the importance of proper ewaste disposal. I would like to use pictures of old and new cell phones, mp3 players and computers (lap top or desk top).

If you wouldn’t mind donating and posting a pic of your old electronic equipment that I could use, I would greatly appreciate it!
